Terms of Service

The rules for using the bot.

Effective 16 October 2026 Applies to every server, admin and member that uses the bot Contact jjerz on Discord

The short version

Access is per server
The bot is a private, paid service. It only works in servers we have activated, and leaves any other server it is added to.
No reselling or sharing
You can't redistribute the bot or charge anyone for it, free or paid, without our written permission.
Your league, your calls
Signings, warnings and report outcomes are decided by your league. You're responsible for how your admins use the bot.
Minimal data
We store Discord IDs, lineup data, warnings and a log of commands used. The bot doesn't read your messages.
Provided as is
We keep it running as well as we can, but can't promise it will always be available.
This summary is here to help. The full terms below are what apply.

01About these terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of Team Management System (the “Bot”), a Discord bot for running racing leagues, developed and operated by jjerz (“we”, “us”).

By adding the Bot to a server, using any of its commands, or pressing its buttons, you agree to these Terms. If you add or manage the Bot on behalf of a server or league, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these Terms for it.

You must meet the minimum age required to use Discord in your country.

02Access and license

The Bot is a private service. It only works in servers we have approved (“activated”). If it is added to a server that isn't activated, it posts a short notice and leaves.

Activation is granted per server. It does not carry over to other servers, even ones run by the same people.

While you follow these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the Bot in your activated server for the purpose of running your league.

03No redistribution or resale

Important

Unless we have given you written permission, you may not, whether for free or for payment:

  1. redistribute, resell, rent, lease, sublicense or otherwise make the Bot, its features or your access available to anyone outside your activated server;
  2. charge anyone, in money, Robux, cryptocurrency or anything else of value, for access to the Bot or to anything it provides. That includes bundling it into a paid package, membership, server perk or “league setup” service;
  3. copy, clone, host or reproduce the Bot, its code, commands, messages or design, or build a bot that imitates it;
  4. decompile or reverse engineer the Bot, or attempt to extract its source code; or
  5. transfer your activation to another server or person.

Redistribution or resale is a serious breach of these Terms. We may revoke access immediately and without a refund, and we reserve all of our other rights.

04Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines while using the Bot;
  • use the Bot to harass, threaten, discriminate against or impersonate anyone;
  • spam commands, buttons or reports, or try to overload, disrupt or slow down the Bot;
  • get around the activation system, permission checks or limits, or try to access another server's data;
  • exploit bugs instead of reporting them; or
  • use the Bot for anything illegal.

If you find a bug or a security problem, please tell us privately.

05Server administrators

If you set up or manage the Bot in a server, you are responsible for:

  • the roles, channels and permissions you give the Bot, including where its role sits in your role list;
  • the settings you choose and the actions you take with it, such as signings, releases, season resets and warnings;
  • who you make a league admin. League admins can change every setting and act for every team; and
  • letting your members know how the Bot is used in your league.

Decisions such as signings, warnings, terminations and report outcomes are made by your league, not by us. We don't moderate leagues or settle disputes between their members.

06Payments

The price, payment method and length of access are agreed directly with us before a server is activated.

  • Payments are final once a server has been activated, unless we agree otherwise in writing or the law requires a refund.
  • If access was bought for a set period, it ends when that period ends unless it is renewed.
  • Reversing a payment after activation, for example through a chargeback, ends access.
  • Payments go through third-party services, whose own terms also apply.

07Data the bot stores

To work, the Bot stores a limited amount of information. Our Privacy Policy explains it in full.

  • Server settings. Your server ID, the channel and role IDs you configure, team names, positions and league rules.
  • League data. Which Discord user IDs hold which positions and own which teams, league admins, pending contract offers, signing cooldowns, team warnings (including their reasons) and open reports.
  • Logs. When a command is used, we record the command, the user's username and ID, and the server's name and ID in a private log, to fix problems and prevent abuse. Errors are logged the same way.

The Bot does not read the content of messages in your server and does not track members' online status.

  • Members who leave a server are removed from its lineups automatically. Offers, cooldowns, warnings and reports are deleted once they expire or are closed.
  • Server data is kept while the server uses the Bot, and may be kept after access ends so a league can renew without losing its setup. The server owner or league owner can ask us to delete it at any time.
  • We don't sell data. It is stored with our hosting and database providers only to run the Bot, and is shared otherwise only when the law requires it.

08Availability and changes

We work to keep the Bot running, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or free of errors. Discord outages, maintenance and bugs can interrupt it.

We may add, change or remove features at any time. If we stop running the Bot altogether, we will try to give activated servers reasonable notice.

09Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end a server's access, without notice or refund, if these Terms are broken, if a payment is reversed, or if continuing would put the Bot, Discord or other users at risk.

You can stop using the Bot at any time by removing it from your server. Sections 3, 7, 10, 11 and 12 continue to apply after access ends.

10Ownership

The Bot, including its code, design, messages, images and name, belongs to us and is protected by copyright and other laws. These Terms don't give you ownership of any part of it.

Team names, logos and trademarks used in your league belong to their respective owners.

11Disclaimer

The Bot is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be accurate, reliable, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose.

12Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost data, lost league progress or disputes within your community, arising from your use of the Bot.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Bot in the three months before the claim.

13Discord and other parties

The Bot runs on Discord, so Discord's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply to your use of it.

Team Management System is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord Inc., Formula One Group, the FIA or any racing team.

14Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. For significant changes, we will try to let activated servers know. If you keep using the Bot after an update, you accept the new Terms.
